His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine developed by China’s Sinopharm Group Co Ltd.

In a tweet, Sheikh Mohammed said, “We ask God to protect everyone and heal everyone,” He had also posted photon on Twitter.  

“We appreciate the efforts of the teams that worked hard to make our country one of the first to receive the vaccine for this virus. The future is always better and more beautiful in the United Arab Emirates,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

After the UAE had approved emergency use, the UAE’s frontline heroes, ministers and top officials received COVID-19 jab. 

The vaccine, developed by China’s Sinopharm Group Co Ltd, is now in the third and final phase of clinical trials and, according to authorities 

the vaccine has so far been found to be safe and effective.
